Shiplap Fireplace Build-Out with TV and Custom Wood Mantel

This project features a classic fireplace build-out completed in Fort Myers, Florida. The goal was to create a clean, timeless focal point that combines a media wall, electric fireplace, and traditional shiplap detailing.

Our team built a full-height fireplace structure with a framed opening for a linear electric fireplace and a recessed TV mount above. The wall was finished with horizontal shiplap panels, professionally installed for consistent spacing, tight seams, and straight alignment across the entire surface.

A custom wood mantel was fabricated specifically for this project. The mantel was sized to match the proportions of the wall, sanded, stained, and sealed to the client’s selected finish. The natural wood tone adds warmth and contrast against the painted shiplap surface.

The entire structure was prepped, primed, and painted using professional-grade interior paint for a smooth, durable finish. All wiring for the TV and fireplace was concealed inside the wall, resulting in a clean and uncluttered final look.
